How do you best learn choreography? Check 'Dance Spirit' magazine to see!

Omg (that's 'oh my goodness')!
I'm considered a 'chunker' and a 'strategic note-taker' as far as choreography is concerned, according to an article in Dance Spirit magazine.  That means that I tend to learn dance moves by envisioning what the move simulates, such as one of my favorite from  Israel Houghton's "I Am A Friend of God's."  The latter part of "Who am I that you are mindful of me?"  Dance interpretation:  'Fold over, scoop up the flower bouquet and gracefully toss it up to God.'
What's your dance-choreography learning style?  Check out the article on remembering choreography, entitled "Making It Stick."
Also learn more about how dancers remember choreography by reading this article on the Moving Memory website.
