Introducing the 'mattah,' another warfare tool in your praise-dance arsenal

Is this one of your praise-dance tools?
Have you ever heard of a mattah?
I hadn't  at least, I don't think I had  until recently.  But the other day, I saw a group of young women doing a 'warfare' dance, using sticks, like drumsticks, to strike while they ministered. I "got it" right away.
Very shortly after that, I ran across a website where the owner, Shelly Bates of Richardson, Texas, was inspired to make these "mattahs" — another tool of warfare and warfare praise.

     Here is Shelly's story:

Shelly Bates, founder of Mattah Staffs and Sticks
My journey creating Mattah War Staffs and Mattah War Sticks began as a nonverbal warfare means to deal with behavioral issues with my oldest son.  Honestly, I didn't know what else to do.  I was praying, speaking in tongues, declaring the word, things did not seem to change.  Frankly, I was out of options.
I went to a conference in May 2009 in Dallas, Texas.  The speaker talked about knowing the times and seasons, and the importance of knowing what “field” or assignment God was calling you to, and to give you the gift of discernment on how to fulfill that assignment.
I went back to my hotel room and sought the Father. I asked, “What is my field?”  He said, “Your son.”
Ha! As if I didn't know. But what I didn't know was what to do.  I asked the Father to reveal the strategy to me so I would know what to do to break the cycles.  And He did. Two days later.

God reveals the strategy
He told me to cultivate his ground, but first I had to break it up with warfare.  The Lord led me to study the process of breaking up ground, and how you have to use certain tools.
As I pondered on this I was drawn to the sound.  I started out beating a drum that I brought back from a missions trip to Africa. I began to notice changes in the atmosphere.
It was difficult to explain, but I knew something was happening.  My fingers and hands could not handle the amount of beating I was doing.  I needed more.
I began to see sticks, with colors and designs and decorations.  I researched sticks and staffs in the Bible, and the Mattah War Staff was created based upon Exodus 4.  The Staff was painted in warfare colors and I used it to strike the ground in representation of breaking up the fallow ground of my Son's heart.  I used it to  to draw lines in the ground declaring to the enemy that he could come no further.  I used it to push and block and whatever movement I saw in the Spirit realm.

Further revelation on the atmosphere, sound and vibrations birthed the Mattah War Sticks, which is two sticks that you strike together.  I knew there was warfare going on in the airwaves. It was the heavenly host against the Prince of the Air, and striking the sticks was warring against the atmosphere that was creating a culture in my son that was contrary to the will of God for his life.  The Lord has continued to direct me on using the Mattah War Staffs and Mattah War Sticks to engage in creative warfare.

Not just for Dance Ministers
Mattah War Sticks and Staffs are NOT exclusive to dancers; they ARE inclusive of those who want to take their warfare to another level.  They can be used anywhere, individually or in groups.  I have received several testimonies of the power of God being released as people used their Mattah War Sticks and Mattah War Staffs.  The Staffs also  have a covert mission – they are also sold as walking sticks that may go into the homes of the unbeliever.  They have been prayed over and anointed with an assignment of Salvation.
This is the season that God is calling forth creative warfare strategies to bring heaven here on earth.
I am also in the process of writing a book on the creative warrior, which will be out later this year.
