Stop your 'scant listening'

I was completing some paperwork the other day when I went to the other side of my bedroom to pick up some materials and heard in my spirit "scant listening."
My spirit shuddered . . . yep, that was a Word for me.
A few nights earlier, as I was falling asleep, I 'recollected" an incident in my early career that was embarrassing.  I didn't bother to wonder or question why that event from so many years ago was being dredged up from my subconscious.
Less than 12 hours later, I was face-to-face with why that incident was dropped into my spirit.  I had repeated almost the same type of error in my professional work:  Not good, and definitely very embarrassing!
God was trying to get my attention, but rather than ask Him what He was trying to say, I just went on to sleep . . .  "Scantly listening . . . "
     It was a Word for me . . . but I share it with you . . .
Linger longer and ask God about the dark and vivid dreams you have, the comments that won't leave your spirit and the Words of wisdom from on high that come to visit you . . .
From this I conclude that 'scant listening' leads to 'scant obedience,' and we know that God would wish that we listened always or listened never (Revelation 3:15).
