Unity Project 3030 Online Dance Conference Much-Needed

Yesterday, we got to sit (or stand or dance) and dip our feet in the waters with several teachers and encouragers in dance ministry world.
     The "event" was Unity Project 3030, a worship arts and dance virtual /online conference (via Zoom) that brought together some of the most passionate leaders and students to share their teaching and glean from each other.
     Unity Project 3030 was spearheaded by the Rev. Eyesha Marable and the National Liturgical Dance Network and featured at least 30 leader-teachers leading classes.
     We had a bit of trepidation about how an entire 'conference' would be held online, but it worked! Kudos to all of the behind-the-scenes technicians working to 'push' visitors to their various classes and sessions and work out kinks!
     (We're looking forward to the three hours of continued workshops and networking this afternoon!)
     From this event, anywhere from 300 to 400-plus worshippers were encouraged to keep at it, keep seeking God during this storm that is wreaking havoc the world over ~ starting with the COVID-19 pandemic, moving to racial unrest and political schizoidness, all the way down to our personal tsunamis in this midst.
     Wonderful words from Rev. Eyesha about how the pandemic has pushed her into being a better witness than ever: Giving her the opportunity to walk the family's dogs in a park, which she does while worshipping, sometimes with flags ~ leading to some unprecedented encounters and opportunities to witness and pray for onlookers.
     Some of the Take-Away:
        *  Reminding dancers to minister the Word in songs;
         * Learning the first few counts choreography to "Psalm 23," taught by Min. Yolanda Rountree;
        *  Hearing of new leadership shifts, with Monica Reagor becoming the new head of the National Liturgical Dance Network (Rev. Eyesha ain't going nowhere, she said, just moving over to allow for new ideas to spring forth):
        *  For more information about the workshops, please contact the Unity Project 3030 website.
