Right before 2025 ended, the world learned of the death of gospel artist Richard Smallwood, who graced the world with his music and influence for 50 years.
The Atlanta born influencer transitioned this life in Maryland on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was 77.
His transition makes us pause and think of all the beautiful music he gave to this world, much of which inspired dance ministry presentations: "I Love the Lord," the Whitney Houston version that was one of the first presentations of a youth dance ministry I assisted with; and two of my favorites, "Processional of the Levites" / "Anthem of Praise."
