I so believe in the awesome power of the worship arts in ministry to minister God's Word, explain a truth, be used to 'deliver' someone . . .
Just last night, my "brother from another mother" showed me this worship service at Apostolic Church of God In Christ (pastored by Dr. Byron T. Brazier), in Chicago, in which the pastor allowed the Liturgical Dance Ministry to minister the entire service --- in dance, skit and drama, mime . . . You get the picture!
How awesome was this! Kudos to that dance ministry at Apostolic Church and to church leadership for acknowledging them as 'ministers'!!
(According to the church's website, the dance ministry is directed by Gloria Chatman with co-directors Regina Evans and Venetia Halsell. The ministry leadership are part of the National Liturgical Dance Ministry Network, Christian Dance Fellowship and the Chicago Liturgical Dance Ministry Collective. The ministry was founded at the church in January 1992.)
