Coming in 2016: Don't miss these top praise-dance conferences!

~ 'Major' praise-dance conferences in 2017 ~
2016 has not dawned yet, but we've already gotten requests for the best that the year has to offer in terms of praise-dance gatherings.
     Again, this list does not supplant all the good work that some of you are doing in this arena, but this is intended to be a compilation of conferences where dance ministers --- experienced and newbies --- can go to meet two or more dance-ministry mentors or be exposed to radical and most-practical of teachings!

JANUARY 2016
"28th Annual International Conference and Festival of Blacks in Dance," Jan. 20 to 24, 2016, Denver, Colo.;

FEBRUARY 2016
"Gospel Heritage International Worship Summit," Feb. 18 to 20, 2016, Houston, Texas; hosted by  Dr. Teresa Hairston of Gospel Heritage magazine;
MARCH 2016
"CelebrateNew Life," March 3 to 5, 2016, Cincinnati, Ohio, featuring host Dr. Lyrica Joy, with presenters the Rev. Eyesha Marble, Min. Dawn Churchill and Paulette Rolle-Alesnik of Dare To Dance Ministry;

"The Dancer In Me ~ 'Manifest'," March 18 to 20, 2016, Irvine, California; hosted by the Rev. Stephanie Butler Adams of Spirit of Praise International;

MAY 2016
" 'Flowing In The Double Portion' Worship Dance Conference," May 12 to 15, 2016, in Bradenton, Florida, featuring Apostle Dr. Franca Fauntleroy and worship-flag minister Joe Brown;

JUNE 2016
"Mime and Dance Like God Is Watching," June 30 to July 2, 2016, hosted by MQV Mime Ministries, presenting the Rev. Eyesha Marable of The National Liturgical Dance Network and Delki Rosso of House of The Arts.

JULY 2016
"Karitos 2016" (July 14 to 16, 2016), Wheaton College, in West Chicago, Illinois;

"14th Annual Music and Dance Unto The Lord 2016" (tentatively, July 7 to 9, 2016), in Tampa, Fla., hosted by Layesha Walton;

"Reviving The Dancer ~ A Heart With Issues"
July 21 to 23, 2016, Dallas, Texas, featuring Pastor Lynn Bullock and Min. Pam Parker and mime minister Sirone U. Hawkins; this event is hosted by Atherine Jones.

"Greater Allen Cathedral Worship Conference"
July 26 to 31, 2016 (tentative), Jamaica, Queens, NY
This is the biennial dance conference of the National Liturgical Dance Network, led by the Rev. Eyesha Marable at Greater Allen Cathedral in New York.

"WOW ~ Worship On Washington" (July 26 to 31, 2016), organized by Pastor Sabrina McKenzie of International Dancing Preachers, calling forth dance ministers to let their voices and praises be heard,, about injustice, oppression and legislation of sin, before the halls of Congress, to effect change from the top-down.  (Click here for a list of "WOW Unity Tour" city stops.)  Scheduled gospel artists include Martha Munizzi and Casey J. ('Fill Me Up').

NOVEMBER 2016

"Dominion Dance and Creative Arts Conference," Nov. 4 and 5, 2016, Whittier, California; this conference features Dr. Ann Higgins from Nassau, the Bahamas,and Tabitha McGowan of Doxa Glory Carriers from Atlanta; hosted by Expressions Dance Company and Psalms Dance Network.
