Reminded: You are, what you speak ...

There's a little church I've been visiting in the past few months, and I love walking up to its front doors and  from the parking lot  being able to "hear" the organist and choir offering up the praises . . . So transformative . . . it really makes you want to lay all your worries down at the door!
That interlude, though, set us up to hear the words of the preacher-teacher-man-of-God calling us to think again about that little item in our heads: our tongue.
Preaching from James 3:1-12 and Proverb 4:24, Pastor Chris Swims reminded us to examine what's going on in our minds, our psyches, that pushes itself out of our mouths . . . We do draw our reality, every day, with what we say from our mouth!
So I was reminded, 'Note to Self': Get your affirmation on . . . each and every day!
"Thank You, Lord, for being My Provider, My Protector, My Sustainer!
"I thank You for empowering me to cast down every negative thought that tries to exalt itself and set up residence in my brain. I thank You for empowering me to dash and break every vile and evil word spoken over me and my family . . ."
"I thank You for giving me the victory over every weapon --- in any and all forms --- that tries to form and come against me.
"I thank You for Your Word promising me that I am 'the head and not the tail."
        "I thank You!"
