Is was skimming through some praise-dance videos on YouTube, when up popped this video: I caught a glimpse of the red,white and blue flag, thinking it was the Haitian flag, and sure enough, it was.
How appropriate that we stumbled across this praise dance, from children representing this beleagured tiny nation-island, at such a time as this . . . days after Hurricane Matthew has decimated a portion of the island. Maybe this praise-dance video rose to the top because other people are looking for videos, praise-dance videos, anything, from and about Haiti . . . Don't know . . .
The song is sung by Artists For Haiti. On the morning of Oct. 11, 206, national media is reporting that more than 1,00 people reportedly died from the impact of the Category 4 Hurricane Matthew, infrastructure has been wrecked in the southern part of the country, thousands are homeless and now there are fears of a cholera outbreak.
"Is there anybody out there listening . . . ? And does anybody out there know their names . . .? Yes, we feel your pain . . ."
