Just yesterday, I had the privilege of watching some 20- and 30-somethings try out for spots on a new sports team in the midwest.
The team's general manager said while the tryouts might now know it, "If you're an athlete, your body is your resume."
. . . (Trying not to think too much in the back of my brain . . . Did my BMI, body-mass index, improve this year? Nope, it worsened! How about my stamina, did that improve? Not quite . . . My workout routine? Since I'm not part of a regular dance ministry right now, that's nil. . . )
But as dancers, we are part-athlete: . . . Are our bodies, our temples, our "resumes?" . . . Hhhmm . . . just wondering . . .
