Praise Dance Black History Month Tribute: Pastor Rekesha Pittman
Today's Black History Month Tribute goes to Pastor Rekesha Pittman, better known these days as the woman who will single-handedly take your "idea" for a book and lead you through the process of birthing it: A publishing doula of sorts, she's helped 'birth" quite a few of those babies By her own count, she says she's worked with 300 authors over the past three years, many of them working on praise-dance books.
Rekesha started as a praise dancer in the Las Vegas area, leading her Rain Rein Reign Dance Ministry and her Reignaissance Publications, impacting the industry through a blog she wrote called "Company Keepers."
Similar pearls of wisdom, like that from her blog, made their way into her first book, "Company Keepers Dance Ministry Daily" devotional; she eventually went on to found her publishing company, Get Write Publishing, of which she calls herself a "publishing strategist."
