BLACK HISTORY MONTH TRIBUTE (Day 4): Dr. Kathleen Turner

Our Day 4 Honoree is Dr. Kathleen Turner, a liturgical-arts and -dance scholar and authority who founded the dance ministry at Greater Allen AME Cathedral in Queens, New York, where her bio says she choreographed more than 75 dances for the ministry.  (Later leadership of that ministry, the Rev. Eyesha Marable, later went on to found the National Liturgical Dance Network.)

     Dr. Turner has an extensive dance and liturgical dance background, earning a Master of Divinity Degree, in 2008, and a Master of Sacred Theology, in 2009, from Yale Divinity School.  She has presented at numerous conferences and taught at workshops around the globe.

     We salute Dr. Turner, for all that she represents as among the top in liturgical dance scholarship!
